hey! well halloween is comming up very quickly and I sat wondering for awhile what I should be this year..then I thought of phantom, I would love to wear a Christine-ish type dress from "think of me" or even the amita costume would be great but I don't know if it would be done in enough time, or if my sister could handle it, so I decided to look into Meg's costumes, they look much easier then Christines, and I love the Degas ballerina look, so does anybody have any advice they can offer me?! and what do you all think, would it be a good costume?! </p>

I personally think you should use Christine's costume from "Point of No Return". I mean, you're gonna have to make a corset-thing anyway, and it doesn't seem like it would be all that hard to make the skirt part, so you might as well do the costume that's more fun and unique (people will actually know it's from the Phantom vs. just a generic ballerina).

Before I saw the pics I thought you were talking about the stage version and I was going to tell you Meg's costume, haha.

I think that Christine's PONR (movie version) would probably be your easiest choice. All you have to do is make a corset and you wouldn't even have to make the white top underneath it, I'm sure you can find a white babydoll shirt to go underneath the corset. You might even be lucky enough to find a yellow skirt as well.

ooh the PONR dress! That's what I'm looking for for Halloween. :-) if anyone has any suggestions on where I can find the parts to it let me know. I also loved her dress in Wandering Child/Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again scenes. I love black, what can I say? But the PONR dress is my favorite. Plus the one where she first comes down to the phantom's lair. Such pretty costumes.

I like the ballerina one that you picked but PONR dress rocks big time.

Alright, since I have made my own replica of this costume, I'll try to help you..

I found a really pretty corset similar to the black one Christine has on in the PONR scene, over the white lacey top. I bought it from Wal*Mart for like, $8.00. With that, I also had a cheap white peasent shirt that I stretched out at the top so the sleeves would hang off of my shoulders to have the lacey white chemise effect Christine has on underneath the corset.

As for the skirt, it's simple. You can find some really pretty and simple yellow fabrics at Joann's or at Wal*Mart in the craft section, and all you have to do is make a simple floor length skirt. [I use www.craftster.org to get help with my pattern ideas. It's a really awsome crafty site! Just type "circle skirt" into the search bar, and you should find differentn designs and such.] As for the black apron-like thing around the waist, I just used an old shawl that I found from Goodwill and tied it around my waist. Voila! Instant PONR Christine. Now all you need is a Passarino to lure you down into his lair..

Hope I helped!

YAY! Thank you so much for your help! :-) I'll be sure to check those things out.

Hehe. If only I could find a Passarino of my own. *Sigh*
